10.30am; Lecture 1. British 20th Century Modernists; many of whom are big names on the international art market and exhibition circuit. Dame Laura Knight, Anne Redpath, Jenny Saville, Cornelia Parker, Joan Eardley, Dorothy Johnstone, Cecile Walton, Alison  Watt, Bridget Riley, Rachel Whiteread, the Singh Twins, Eileen Gray , Sonia Boyce, Maud Sulter, YBAs.    

11.45 am Lecture2. Renaissance and Baroque Women Artists; featuring a surprising number of first-rate artists, many of whom have been effectively removed from history by misattribution .  Luckily the phoenix is now on the rise and justice can be done. Includes; Sophanisba Anguissola,  Lavinia Fontana,  Artemesia Gentileschi, Clara Peeters,  Rachel Ruysch, Mary Beale, Angelica Kauffman,  Maria Cosway etc…

12.45-1.30pm. Lunch, Not provided….do bring your own or buy from city-centre outlets. Enjoy also the museum’s displays.

1.30pm Lecture 3. Women Artists and Modernism—Expressionists, Star Surrealists(Frida Kahlo, Meret Oppenheim,Kay Sage), Russian Constructivists and other Amazons( Liubov Popova, Olga Rozanova, Elena Guro, Natalia Goncharove, Varvara Stepanova….its a long, long list), Bauhaus Babes(Anni Albers, Marianne Brandt, Gunta Stolz),  plus ; the rapid development of female Photographers including; Julia Margaret Cameron, Lee Miller, Dorothea Lange, Hilla Becher, Diane Arbus, Dora Maar, Margaret Bourke-White, Cindy Sherman,  Annie Liebowitz.
